Engineers refused Meta to give Mask their allegiance: I can’t buy more money to leave Mask.
The Robotaxi (Unmanned Taxi) project in Tesla launched its limited commercial operations in Austin, Texas, in June, marking a significant advance in its artificial intelligence and auto-driving technology. Behind the project is a strong team of engineers in Tesla, especially the best talent in the areas of artificial intelligence and autopilot. However, competitors, such as Meta, are actively seeking these talents to enhance their competitiveness in areas such as productive artificial intelligence.
Senior Tesla engineer Yun-Ta Tsai recently shared an e-mail from a Meta recruiter in social media, describing it as a “last” attempt by the social media and tech giant to dig him up for work. Yun-Ta Tsai responded in his post: “I’m sorry that we are busy launching Robotaxi and are committed to sustainable prosperity.”

For some, there was a dream job in Tesla working with Mask. Yun-Ta Tsai highlighted Mask’s leadership and expressed his willingness to work for companies with a clear mission. “I can’t buy more than I can get out of Mask, it’s a lifetime (and probably the only one) chance, I enjoy working in a high-pressure environment, and making money without an objective would drive me crazy.” Yun-Ta Tsai wrote.

Another user told Yun-Ta Tsai that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was “capturing huge cash/currency market funds” in an attempt “to pave the way to universal artificial intelligence with money”. Cai Chongtai replied: “I have heard the same thing. But money doesn’t buy mission.”
According to Yun-Ta Tsai, he has been working in Tesla for four years and nine months, prior to his knowledge of Google, Inweida and Nokia.
In another post by Yun-Ta Tsai, the team collaboration and achievement of the artificial intelligence sector was highly praised: “For the sake of history, all work overnight. We’re a real team.” The post attracted the attention of Mask himself, who replied: “It is an honour for me to work with such an outstanding team.”
